My first published book is: “Wednesdays with Sadie: The Miracle Dog.”
This heartwarming book is a story about my life with Sadie, the Miracle Dog. It’s about this 78-pound German Shepherd Dog (GSD) who lived a remarkable, heroic life.
I describe how we met and our adventures together. I prepared her to help the blind as a guide dog for the Eye Dog Foundation. I share the experiences and miracles we had after Sadie was career changed, and we became a pet therapy team working with children at a hospital in Phoenix and volunteering to work with Alzheimer’s patients bringing joy, comfort, and healing.
It’s also about my heartbreak of saying goodbye to the best furry friend I’ve ever had in my entire life.
Sadie’s book chronicles some canine-child interactions that I had the privilege to witness and now share. I often found while writing this book that the right words just don’t exist to describe the connections I saw, but I’ve done my best. I have kept the stories short, changing people’s names and, when needed, certain details of the stories to protect their privacy. I’ve used real names when given permission.

A story the world needs now

This is a poignant and heart-melting story about Sadie, that beautiful Miracle Dog who touched many lives through her unconditional love. The author lets us peek into all aspects of this extraordinary dog’s life, beginning in puppyhood. Time and time again, we see Sadie beating the odds in situations. Why? So she could rise to become that shining star in the lives of others, as she becomes a hero, especially in the lives of those in need.

It’s a beautiful story, well worth reading. It gives hope for the future. We need more “Sadies” in this world.

Wonderfully heartwarming, and a reminder of my own pet who’s over the rainbow bridge

I didn’t expect this to happen, but as I read the book, I spontaneously began to smell Orion, my dear tabby who passed several years ago. Reading about Sadie somehow brought up sensory memories from deep inside, and of course, the tender emotions of love and missing my little buddy. Wednesdays with Sadie was a very enjoyable read, a series of vignettes filled sometimes with sweetness, with humor, and with heart. You’ll enjoy this book especially if you have, or have ever had your own fur baby.

“A blind man walked into the dentist office while I was reading this book…”

I heard that interesting things begin to happen once you start reading Sadie’s book, and it has. It started with a blind man walking into the dentist office while I was in the waiting room. THAT has NEVER happened in my life.
It continued with all of the “dates coincidences” that coincided between what happened on certain dates with Sadie and my families birthdays, anniversaries, etc..
I never had these types of things happen to me until I started reading her book. And the stories with her kids are amazing,,,
Great book – well written.
